From the Temple to the Shepherd... what a year it's been!

Hi, friend!

Can you believe it? We’ve officially wrapped up our Online Biblical Studies for 2025!
Cue the confetti... and a well-deserved exhale. 🎉

This year, we wandered through the wilderness, peeked behind the curtain of the Tabernacle, and marveled at the splendor of the Temple. Together, we discovered what it really means that God dwells with His people — not just in holy spaces made by hands, but in the sacred, ordinary moments of our lives.

And as we close the final page of this year’s study, my heart is full (and my eyes a little misty). You’ve shown up, dug deep, asked thoughtful questions, and made this community such a beautiful reflection of God’s presence among us.

Truly, thank you.

Before we wave goodbye to 2025...

Over the last several years, we've been blessed to spend one night in December together on Zoom, digging into the context of Christmas. Well, I think we've dug as much as we can out of the topic (for now), so this year we're doing something a little different, which will also continue into the coming year.

Join us for our 1st Christmas Community Fellowship Night

Since our community spans the globe (whoa, God!), I can't exactly invite all of you over to my kitchen to bake Christmas cookies together, so instead, we'll gather on Zoom.

We'll use that opportunity to spend some time together during the holidays, to share our favorite Christmas cookie recipes (due December 1st to be included in the IF Christmas Cookie Cookbook), and wrap up our year in prayer for all that is to come for the Intentional Filling Community in 2026.

We hope you'll join us on Thursday, December 11th at 9:00 PM via Zoom

What's in line for 2026?

Before you pack away your study notebooks for good — don’t wander too far! Because come January 18th, we’re diving into one of my all-time favorite chapters in Scripture:

Psalm 23 - The Lord is my Shepherd...

We’ll be walking slowly through Kenneth Bailey’s The Good Shepherd: A Thousand-Year Journey from Psalm 23 to the New Testament.

Given the academic nature of this book, we’ll spread out the study over the course of the year to savor each insight. Because who wants to rush through green pastures, right?

When you register to become a member, you'll receive year-long access to:

  • Winter Study: Chapters 1-4, beginning January 18th
  • Spring Community Fellowship: Date TBD
  • Fall Study: Chapters 5-9, beginning September 6th
  • Christmas Community Fellowship: Date TBD

Think of it as a year-long walk with our Good Shepherd!

I can.not wait to dive into this book with you and glean all of the wisdom we can from Kenneth Bailey. I mean, if Lois Tverberg quotes him often... his writing has got to be the REAL DEAL!

Thank you for being part of the Intentional Filling Community and sharing your curiosity, your faith, and your laughter with us this year!

If you’ve ever wished Bible study felt more like a heart-to-heart than homework… just wait. This next one’s going to be something special.

Here’s to more grace, more growth, and more good company in 2026.
